Charlie Reed was born in Cleveland in the year 2000. Growing up in the rural Midwest, he connected to many of the modern myths found in sci fi and classic monster movies of the past.  As a teenager he would spend much of his time drawing, and exploring the outdoors.

Reed attended Lorain community college in 2019, where he earned his Associates of Art degree. In 2024, he graduated from Myers School of Art at the University of Akron and earned his BFA in Painting and Drawing.

While attending the University of Akron, he took some courses on environmental science, fueling an interest in the evolution of life and the diversity of earth’s ecosystems. Also during his time at Myers, Reed was a member of the painting and drawing league, where he would exhibit work with his peers.

He has shown work in exhibitions such as Everything but the Kitchen Sink, volume 2, at Bounce innovation hub in Akron, and the solo exhibition Ultramarine at the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology in Akron.

He is currently working on a new body of work.
